Anyone know where to get the Satin black paint, i have seen it made by Glasurit, but i have no idea what the cost would be, im thinking doing my car in this paint.

so pretty much flatblack? home depot rust paint + thinner would run you about $25 and a days work.

yeah well, i want a professional job, this would be a complet color change so i would have to dissasemble most of the car to get it ready and sprayed, so i want to get it done by a bodyshop

to spray flatblack? its not really worth it.
do it yourself, take your time it will turn out. take pride in what you do!

Why not just talk to the shop your getting the work done im sure they can get it.

you just use a diffrent clear after base coating the car.

DO NOT USE TREMCLAD OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF RUST PAINT.
Paint it base clear black with a flattening agent in the clear.

no offence but i did my volvo for 50 bucks. and it came out fine.
its just about getting the right paint and taking your time prepping.
the bitch part was buffing it after i was done but it came out nice.
and im sure this guy is gonna go for what he wants.

i understand that. and hey its his car. i just hope he doesnt do something he regrets. sorry for sounding like a dick in my previous post it was late...lol
i painted my old crx satin black and it turned out pretty good but i just kept feeling how it made my car look like a beater.
