They could probably just hire 3 mexicans for the price of one decent detailer. Especially for the work they say they do

Pay is determined by the skill level of the individual. The job interview would be a one day trial, which you will be paid for.

So, Little Tommy could say he has detailing experience and you'd let him go at cars for a day. What if he fucks up? Whose going to fix them before the customer picks them up?

If we feel he is compitant to detail, we will let him try. We test them out on our own shop vehicles first before customer vehicles.

Do fulltime detailers with 5 years experience actually exist? I mean Paul does wicked ass work but I believe he's in school to be something else...

It is extremely difficult to find good help. It has taken me about 2-3 yrs to train all of the guys I current have on my team.... you dont get good overnight unfortunately. Alot of the time some of the 'better' detailers can only handle it for a certain number of years before they burn out and have to throw in the towel.
