View Full Version : Chipping Toyota ECU
Where can I go to get an Ecu from Toyota chipped from an auto to a standard tranny?
I have a jdm ecu out of an Aristo (auto tranny) and I need to change it for a manual transmission.
thanks,

Just post on supraforums, the stock ecus aren't worth much with so many people switching to AEM.
I'm sure you could grab one for a few hundred bucks. But I worry that you're going to have a nightmare of a time with a VVTi motor. I hope you heavily researched that swap.
Dont worry, I have... its been done before and its not that different. I posted on SF... if no luck finding a place, I will post to see if anyone has a 98 ecu for sale.

i thought the only thing you had to do was ground the parking signal to "drive" position... no?
