rough idle No power! help

ok so I was driving then the check engein light came on and when I hit the gas it sound like a miss fire then the rmp gauge stoped it died a couple of times but I managed to start it again and just make it home....its a 1989 civic si d16. i think its dizzy but I am not sure!

same problem i had with my integra, most likely the dizzy... Well i had the same symptoms and when i replaced the dizzy, the car ran great.

Yep, my guess is distributor... probably the crank angle sensor inside, or something else..

Just replace the whole thing - put a post in parts on the site - OBD0 distributors are pretty easy to find...
