Back on the hunt again for a small torque wrench. I need one that does in/lbs specifically in the 86in/lbs range.
Thanks for the info.
Sears, Princess Auto or CT don't have them.....and I'm trying to avoid Snap-On...thanks

You want something done right, you gotta do it yourself. :D

Remember that only the midle 50% f the range is going to be accurate -- the lowest 25% and the highest 25% are outside of the useable range the further you get from the middle of the range, so you will be less accurate. I wouldn't use a wrench that has a range of 20-150 ft/lbs for anything requiring <40 or >120 or so.

If you get a good torque wrench (like Snap On) the entire range shown on the wrench is accurate, not just the middle 50%.
If it is worth torquing, it is worth torquing well.

Because if the handle was only 6" long, in order to do 150 lb.ft, you would have to pull 300 lbs!!!! Might as well turn the nut with your finger! LOL

you can actually multiply the torque with gears inside the head of the wrench

ok, so I went to Sears and low and behold, they had 3 of the micro torque wrenches sitting on the shelf.
was on sale too. 64$ :D
Picked one up, torqued everything down and I'm back in business now.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

I should run over to Princess Auto, but it is a horrible store for me. Even though I go to buy a $20.00 Torque wrench I would walk out with far more than that. What can I say it is a big kid candy store.
