so im thinking of buying a 95 4 door teg is the insurance going to be cheaper then the 2 door?

and if the car isnt safetied what are the usual things on a teg that would need to be done with 192K?

2 doors are usually a shoe-in for "sports car" catergory.

4 door will certainly be cheaper.

every car is different, theres no way to tell what might need to be changed at 192k... If it was maintained properly then there is no chance of knowing, what breaks will need to be fixed, if it was beat on.. then everything will need to be fixed.

A fresh timing belt would be a good idea. After that, maybe O2 sensor, check the belts and hoses, coolant flush, change the oil, that should be most of it if it is in otherwise good condition.

Call your insurance company and compare the quotes between the 2 door and the 4 door.

Before you buy it ask if...

Ball joints have been replaced... upper and lower
Radiator
Brakes -
Clutch
Timing belt (2nd time around)
Cat converter (make sure it passes etest before you buy it!)
Check for black soot in the exhaust tip - could mean 1) Not running properly, or 2) Owner drives the shit out of the car.

If none of the work has been completed relatively recently, it'll all be coming up...

Good luck :)

So did you call and get quotes?

It might be helpful to follow up on this, so if anyone searches the subject, they could come up with a definitive answer.
