three weeks ago with help from a fellow RL'er I pulled these codes off my ECU.
P1166 Primary HO2S (No. 1) Heater System Electrical
P1167 Primary HO2S (No. 1) Heater System
P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency
P0138 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2
P0139 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 2
so I did my homework on a few other honda/RSX sites and purchased a new primary o/s sensor. (but Honda calls it a A/F ratio sensor). it was all good after the swap. I didn't even have to clear the codes. the engine light went away and my economy improved by around 1/5th.
the bad part is since then I keep getting p0138 and p139. Sometimes the engine light will clear on its own, sometimes I will have to clear it with my OBD-II reader that I purchased for myself from princess auto.
anyways, is p0138 and p0138 the second sensor or is my CAT snafu'ed???
and why did I get p1XXX codes for the primary sensor but only p0xxx codes for the other sensor? if it is a sensor failure at all?
