anyone know how to repair carbon fiber

i'm 2 steps away from using clear silicone and just putting cf vinyl tape over the wound.

i saw a bumper repair job on a civic a couple weeks ago.
he used 2 bandaids in a "x" shape and then wrote oops beside it.
not sure if it helps...sorry

there is virtually no way to repair clear finished carbon fiber other than an expoxy repair and painting over it, you will likely not be able to recreate the clear look again

In most cases, it's cheaper to buy a new hood :?

However, if that's not an option, you may want to bring it to a boat repair shop, as they deal with gel coat repairs all the time. I'm not sure how much it would cost, or what's involved, but it may be worth checking out.

Depends on the damage. Is it actually cracked?

I just finished repairing my hood. I had a crack in the corner where it bolts on to the hydraulic lift. I fiberglassed the corner, and had the hood re-cleared. Total cost came to around $100.

But like impulsive said, it may be cheaper for you to just buy a new hood, or ghetto fix it. Whatever you're comfortable driving with, I guess.
