Does anybody know a shop that will properly tune a Haltech E6X?

I've done a basic tune so that it won't explode, but it's running PIG rich (to the point of fouling spark plugs in about 1hr of running)

I know Tapp won't touch my car. I've heard PSI Tuning will do it, anybody else in town knowledgeable with the Haltech?

Chris is the only other guy in the city that I know of who is competent enough to tune a full standalone. He is doing some great work specializing in what he does and is saying "no" to all the requests.

What sort of Haltech? What sort of car is it? I've done interceptor, E6K, E6X, F11 and another one I can't remember E11 maybe. I'm quite familliar with their products. I also know one or two people in Montreal and 2-3 in Toronto that I could recommend as well if you're looking to shop around.

he posted above its a e6x, and im probably guessing hes running the dos based software.

Is your timming map conservative ? or on the agressive side.

if its conservative. do some driving, ,datalog ( the dos softaware datalogs without issues ). and pull fuel out little by little. Now this will take a long time, but its better than killing plugs.

Also you can get a buddy you trust to drive and clean up the maps.

And last but not least, then get some shannonville time and tune WOT . or very good also a dyno.

But that being said, its always goof to get a knowledgible tuner.

oh and do you want to buy a haltech E8 , autotune is or will be available soon ;) ( fuel only though, doesnt tune ignition ).

I missed the fact it's an E6X. There is no reason to use the dos software - I always use halwinx these days. Using the DOS software I feel like I'm tuning an M48 or something.

Finally, steer away from autotune. I've used about a dozen different implementations for autotune as well as spent a few years trying to perfect my own. At best it does a mediocre job - a human can do much better.

I highly recommend PSI, we just tuned my car today and it drives phenomenally. Great power, nice response and its safe. I also expect fuel mileage to go up. Go talk to em and discuss options, don't forget to at least stop for breakfast or lunch. He tunes better with a full belly.
PS: I forgot my tshirt you.
