The car is only a month old and it was parked under a maple tree. Last weekend a small branch with a few leaves from the tree fell on the hood and was left there until Monday. There's now a sappy impression of the leaves on the hood. I washed it but didn't want to scrub at it so it's still there.
What can I use to get it off??

I found out when I was a kid that when you have tree sap on your hands, Off (bug spray) removes it pretty well. I dunno if your paint would like it?

Thanks for the replies.
No I used a soft wash mitt but didn't scrub with it.
I'm not sure I want to use chemicals on the paint. Might have to go bug a detailer on here to help me out.

Methyl Hydrate - Stove Fuel. Throw some on a microfibre and lightly rub. It will melt the tree sap off.

That sounds like potential for me to burn a hole through the hood. Wanna come and hold my hand while I do this some time??

You can also use label and sticker remover which is more user-friendly and will achieve the same end result. You can usually pick-up a can of sticker adhesive remover at CT or any big box store in aeorsol form for 5-10 dollars.
Let me know how it goes! :D

I'll get at it this weekend when I make the weekly trip to CT.
Thanks for the advice! :D
