Hey guys, i'm obviously new here, but a friend told me to post on here to see if anyone knows this punk. Broke into my car on the weekend, and stole my alpine deck, a pair of shades and whatnot. the police don't seem to enthusiastic considering its only a few hundred bucks worth of stuff.

long story short, he posted an ad on usedottawa and using the power of teh interweb got a pic to pop up.

I don't feel like pressing charges if i get my stuff back, but if not, i WILL see him and we WILL have a little chat.

First of all, please call the police with the intent to press charges straight away. If this went down the way you say it did, we need the police to pay this guy a visit and get him in the system. If you let him off, he'll just keep stealing.

After you've called the police, inform Used Ottawa also. Please stay on this, let us know how it goes.

edit: save the website somehow, screen shot perhaps. Document how you traced back to his picture. Lay all this out in simple terms and go to the police. They have to listen - your not coming to them with a report, but rather a case with actual evidence. They will do the rest.

I believe that guy works as a Junior Accountant at Deloitte and Touch Enterprises.

I often see him hosting many luncheons with prospective investors over a chilled glass of Chardonay, or taking private business calls on his Blackberry between meals.

what's done is done, no one wants to see someone get beat down over a couple hundred dollars worth of gear, especially since it was recovered. If he didn't give it up, it woulda been a different story. All we had to do was take the deck back and then convince him it was in his best interest to return the rest of the stuff that was taken from my car... when i got up this morning it was all neatly tucked under my wiper.

he's just a kid, scaring him was enough, i'm not going to get physical with someone unless they really deserve it. if he would've met my seventeen-year-old self it would've worked out differently as well, i dont have a fist full of broken knuckles for nothing.
