Hey,
The headlights on my EK are turning yellow and foggy kinda.
How do I get them to look like new?

Thats what I though.
I use the same compound and polish as the rest of the car?
Thanks!

Depending on how bad they are: 800/1000/1500/2000 a good compound, and a polish.
Keep in mind you will have completely stripped the uv-coating of the lense so you will have to frequently keep them waxed otherwise the yellowing will return.

Could he clear the lense then polish that in hopes of it staying clearn? I haven't done that much before. I'm just curious.

Do you mean clear the lens after he's completed the restoration? If yes, I don't see how it could hurt?

Right, that's what I meant. After the polishing part in hope that it would stay clearer longer since the uv coating is off it now.

Fastest way to make your headlights look almost brand new

May not be as good as a job as wet sanding but definetly alot faster.
This stuff works miracles on headlights.

I swear by it. I have a bottle at home. I'll stop by if you're in the area and give your front end a rub.

I've got 5 bottles of Plasti-X on clearance.. let me know if you need to stock up!! 8)
i use to drive a neon and there bad for it so this guy that i worked with suggested this polishing compound that u can buy from napa for about 25 bucks 3m makes it dont know the exact name but worked great used a buffing wheel on a grinder and made them so clear stayed good for months on end didnt wax it either for the amount u get in the bottle its well worth it dont know if the lights held up but i did it in the winter and sent the car to be crushed at the start of fall so i reccomend that for a try

one option alot of guys on the nissan/infiniti boards use is to have teh headlights polished and then becasue the protective UV layer has been stripped they apply 3M UV clear protective film over the newly wetsanded and polished headlight and it will stay that way almost indefinitely
