Any feedback on the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited? 4.7L V8 w/ tow package + fully loaded.

Seems like a good deal but I'm iffy on Chrysler....

You won't get much in the way of impartial feedback on a domestic vehicle here on importnutswingers.ca.
Jeep knows how to build a truck.

My parents have owned The limited jeeps for a while 01 (v6), 03 (v8) and now an 06 (v8 hemi) all loaded. They are pretty nice and lots of power! but also lots of Gas and lots of little things go wrong on them, Power windows, Locks, heater fan, nothing mechanical just the little things. If you do get one make sure you get a warranty with it.

Why not an Envoy?

If you are going to be doing towing, I'd go with the Envoy.

I've towed a 2500 lbs trailer with a 3000lbs+ car on it countless times and never let me down. Towed from Windsor, London, Missauga, Whitby, Hamilton etc... I've even towed from Hamilton to Ottawa, then Ottawa to Whitby and Whitby to Ottawa within 48 hours, not even a single problem.

Whats your main goals with the truck?

Jeep knows how to built it but the imports refine it. Nothing like changing brakes and shit every 2 oil changes :P

Using it to pull a wakeboard boat.. 22' and it's 3,500lbs with trailer. And that's primarily it. Distances will be long and frequent.

The 2000+ 4Runners are really nice but still pricey. Would like to find an SUV with low km's, strong, 4x4, towing pkg, and under $15K if possible.

If you're going to tow stay away from the Jeep. I've got friends with different models & years of Grand Cherokees (6 cly & v8 as well as full time & part time 4wd) and they all have had tranny issues (well this seems to be common issues with Chrysler products, at least from my point of view).
I've personally seen many other issues from the wiring for the trailer lights not working properly (directly from the factory not working), the blower motors being too powerful & frying the digital controls & the switches under the dash.
I do know that one of my buddies is trading in his Grand for a 4Runner as soon as he can afford to do so.
