LOL, should be fun passing crash testing and getting slapped with high insurance rates with 0/5 star ratings.

Chery, the new death trap on wheels!

I think it was GENERAL that is made in China. I stayed away and I am happy with my Falkens.

The Chinese-made tires were sold under at least four brand names: Westlake, Compass, Telluride and YKS

I would like to know if General is a Chinese made tire. I was looking at the General Exclaim UHP, and I was very close to buying them. Obviously if they are a Chinese tire I will not buy them.

General Tire is a part of the Continental Automotive Group, even if they are made in China, they are made with the patents of Continental using similar thread design. The major difference would be the compounds used to make the tires.

It is the other not so popular brands which are causing the problems.

How long did you have them? I had a set for a couple of months, they were decent in the dry and I thought really good on the rain with no aquaplaning. They weren't my first choice but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for those who value a nice looking tire before performance.
