Is it safe to operate subs and amp in the canadian winter? Don't wanna ruin the gear.

I have always used mine in the winter. I have used different types of subs and amps in sedans and hatchbacks. Some ppl remove them for the winter.
The only thing I do is turn the bass and sub volume down and not play it to loud. Also you might wanna give it some time to warm up as well
Just my 2cent
Cheers

Yeah I ran 2x12" all year around in my old car...on cold days I would just keep it low for a while before turning up the volume..never had an issue.

imo you're asking for trouble. cold stuff becomes brittle. that's just physics. or chemistry.
it's fucking science.

something in my set up is acting up. I dont know if its because something is failing or acting up because of the cold weather. Sometimes the bass is hitting extra hard, but then at other times (hours later) its very weak

You probably just need an alignment.

never had a problem with mine, but I didn't crank it any until after the interior had heated up (including the sub)
