Long shot: bmw ix drive shaft

Need a rear driveshaft for my ix.

Can anybody point me in the right direction? these are over $1000 new. :(

What the hell can go so wrong that it has to be changed? Drop it off, I can get it spun to check balance, replace ujoints etc.

my mechanic is 100% sure. He showed me the play in the u joint and there is some....so Im going to say he is right. Im repalcing it because Im getting a vibration in the drivetrain over 100km/hr.

Junked Ix? yeah...good luck finding one of those. every ix I see goes for 5k+.

Seems like some guys on maxbimmer are saying I can get this remanned though. Im going to wait till spring and probably do that if I can, I just need some downtime and get it over to Mike.

Yes, I can get a a reman from bav for about the same price.
