looking for input......

90 integra LS

my oil light started FLASHING AT PERFECT 1 SECOND INTERVALS constantly over my 5 minute drive, oil pressure gauge is showing normal pressure throughout the rev range, i get home and check the stock sender connection, its good, WTF, and now i have no oil light with engine off but ignition on, which would make me think its not connected.

this is a very simple circuit, its Batt+ to cluster oil light to oil sender to ground, THATS IT! and the sender is plugged in

i'll be getting underneath later on to replace the sender, but ive never heard of one going bad, and im stumped on the clock pulse style oil light(not random at all, was like a turn signal)

IDK, any ideas would be great

Did you check your oil ?

your engine is dead.
just change the sensor and youll know..

Bad ground or sender would be my guess, on such a simple circuit I couldn't see it being anything else.

Some cars are set up to flash but I didn't think a G2 Teg was one of them. Must be something odd going on under the dash - your signal light flasher unit somehow shorted to that ground?

last time this happened to my buddy driving back from MTL

ended up snapping a rod and punching a hole in his block from the half rod...oil return got clogged up or someshit

but if you got pressure up there...hopefully that aint the case

thanks for the replies guys, im still stumped on the flashing, but after throwing in another sender its all good, weird stuff, if it happens again im not shutting off the car till i find the source of the pulse, if that happens i'll post what caused it
