Due to the buyer not being able to pick up the car until September, the car is back up for sale. If the car still hasn't sold by the time he gets back
he'll take it.

PRICE DROP!!!!

FOR SALE! $650.00 O.B.O

1996 Mazda Protege ES
Blue, 4 Door
1.5L DOHC, Automatic Transmission
Has working a/c.
244,xxx km

The good:
-good on gas (approx. 450km per tank)
-cheap parts
-Brand new rear struts
-brand new brakes last year (including callipers and wheel
cylinder)
-clarion cd/mp3 player included
-4 snow tires on rims (one season left)
-4 all season tires on rims (one season left)
-New alternator last year
-Remote car starter
-New battery 2 years ago (3 year warranty on battery)
-Regularily maintained. Oil change every 5000km

The not so good:
-Needs timing belt and water pump (starting to leak)
-Rust on rear quarter panels and trunk
-Interior is in need of some attention. Everything works,
it's just starting to show some age.
-One of the axles is starting to go (knocks when turning sharp corners)
-Over heats with a/c on because water pump is failing.

This car has been the grocery getter for my family for the
last 7 years. Has always started for me, even in the coldest
of winters and always on the first try.

If Interested, call 613-808-3266 and ask for Sean. Leave a message if I don't answer as i work from 730-530. I will also reply to PM. I have more photos if you want to see the rusted areas. http://www.redliners.ca/forum/userpix/15281_Picture_002_1.jpg

Accepting trades as well. I'm looking for a generator, possibly an old dirt bike or if you have a snow blade for a john deer tractor your not using.

Timing belt is about as hard as any dohc civic. Same engine mount needs to be removed to change it. If anyone is interested I can get the parts at cost as well.
