In 89 205HP was a good number. As for potential I'm sure it would go mid to low 13's hell maybe even 12's with the right turbo. The compression ratio is 8:5.1. The crankshaft is hardened, and the rods are hardened aswell from the factory. McLaren knew what they were doin when they built the motor and Turbo Setup.
There's a guy on the TGP board that has a T-28 Upgrade with full exhaust and a chip and he went 13.6@108MPH and he made 302WHP with 409WTQ!!!!!!
Now he put this on his car...

You don;t buy this car for its speed, you buy it for its rarity, if you enjoy owning these types of things.

If ya don't believe me....
"Limited Editions
1989-90 McLaren Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo - The McLaren Turbo Grand Prix had the standard 3.1L (VIN T) V6, but had an added turbocharger and intercooler which was designed, developed, and certified by McLaren Engines. The cars sported ground-effects, fender flares, 245/50ZR16 tires, and only came in red or black. 3725 of these cars were built in 1989, and 3750 in 1990."
More Info... http://www.w-body.com/tgp/index.html
I Bet ya didn't know they made a 4 door Turbo Grand Prix either! The STE had the same motor and looked like a factory 4 door Grand prix in 89-90.
The car is actually reffered to as an ASC Mclaren Turbo Grand Prix. ASC Made the body kit for the car and you have seen some of their work on the SRT4, Chevy SSR, Grand AM SC-T.

Did you find a place to stay yet? I lived in Bermuda for 8 years. We just moved back to Canada 2 years ago. It's Heaven on Earth!
-Try to stay on the East end of Hamilton. The West has too much traffic. Finding decent, relatively inexpensive accomodations is tough. Plan on spending at least $3000/month for a nice 1-bedroom apt or $4-6000 for a 2- bedroom. We lived in St-George's in a 300 year old house overlooking the ocean- it was awesome!
-Corona's and Heineken's at The Robin Hood with the guys every night after work! Woohoo!
-Be careful on your scooter (you will own a scooter) it's not like driving a bike here let alone the fact that you'll be driving on the left. Scooters and bikes are limited to 150cc but are still lots of fun. Buy sailing quality rain gear- you'll need it for the scooter.
-Horseshoe Bay Beach is one of the nicest beaches in the world.
-Dockyard is a fun Sunday destination- The Frog and Onion is a cool restaurant.
-Portofino's is one of the BEST Italian restaurants anywhere!
-Drink Swizzles at The Swizzle Inn.
-Relax, sit on the beach alot, buy a boat, learn to sail, drink lots of wine, enjoy rugby, futbol and Guiness with the Brits, take up diving and dance with the Gombeys. Enjoy your time there, it will go by fast and there is a 6-year cap on work permits.
-F*ck I miss being there! Let me know if you need anything or have any questions. We have family there now so maybe we can help.

Ya I got a 3 bedroom appartment in Hamilton lined up through my employer. THey are covering half of my accomodations throughout my stay. They also got me a scooter while I'm working for them aswell. I'll be sure to bring my Helly Hansen Rain gear.
We got the contract to build a medium rise Luxury resort, Mall, and Condoes for the same guys the own the Sailboat hotel in Duabi. Should be an expirience.
I got my permit already, just waiting for my boss to send my plane ticket. He said I would most likely be there for 6 years with a 50 percent permit extension depending on the government.
Add me to your MSN I have a few questions for ya Dwight.
Thanks
