Have you ever been to Luskville dragway & raced your car?
Have you ever been to Shannonville or Calabogie & raced your car?

I hope you are a damn good of a driver if you can make a comment like that. Beause a car is only as capable as the person driving it.

Carm taht is irrelevant. Every ricer with a civic can put $21930128301 in their car, getting the best of the best suspension parts and go run shit times at Autocross's, Shannonville and Calabogie.
I've seen idiots with stock prelude's going on the Calabogie lapping sharing the track with Ferrari's, then claiming that their car on $50 budget rubber handles better then a Ferrari.

I wasn't referring to you so don't get offended. I am talking about people in general.
I used to say, "oh it only goes straight", doesn't turn bla bla... I still joke about it, it is good for a laugh, but in all seriousness a car that can run the 1/4 mile in single digits is something to be respected of.
I am sick and tired of everyone thinkign they are Micheal Schumacher and thinking they are good drivers. Like Jay Leno says, there are 2 things that every guy thinks they are the best at, one is sex, the other is driving.
Oh and believe me they are a handful and a blast to drive, even though they are just going straight.

To each his own...there's people who don't like big HP drag cars and that's fine. Personally, I am into all motorsports so I will be adding some nice road coarse shots later in the year. (I already do the stock car shots at Cap City) I just thought that since these guys are up from Ohio and they are kind of unique, I'd post a few.
more from today, a mix of friends and the Ohio boys.

That Shep talon is such a piece of shit, it can only go in a straight line.
I think all forms of serious automotive enthusiasm should be respected. And going in a straight line trying to handle 1000hp+ kind of power is to be respected. 8) :D

i was there sat, fast time yeah but we were pretty much bored at the end. i'd rather look at imports performing the best they can out of what they have.
when MONEY is what make a guy wins in a straight... its getting ridiculus imo.
funny to see my 4 yrs old neighbour racing his Spiderman dragster haha!!

That's one of the great things about it IMO, the kids. They show up every weekend and have a lot of fun. In case you didn't hear, the large Spiderman dragster (Ray Minor Jr) ran right off the end of the track on Sunday, broke a rear calliper at the big end. He couldn't stop quick enough. He's OK but they did a little damage to the front end and the rear rim is cracked.
Straight line racing has it's pros and cons like any other sport, even a bikini contest would become boring after 10 hours....ummm OK, I lie, but
drag racing is a lot of fun when you're behind the wheel. I never race with money in mind (even though I do pull a few grand a year out of Luskville) that's just a bonus.

LOL at the annoying comment. So true !
I wish they would force drag cars to respect a certain decibel rating.
I find the noise extremely annoying. I know a lot of people love it.
I wish they forced the guys to run a muffler. I don't care if it's a straight thru muffler but at least not loud enough that I have to block my ears and I can't hear someone screaming right beside me. Maybe I just don't like open header V8s LOL
The only problem is if you want traction at Luskville you have to wait an hour in between the big loud boys runs.
