Teknotik and MY Racing Track Day Rules & Schedule
Motor sports including Lapping days are dangerous and you do so at your own risk!
Safety is our Number 1 concern – everyone will have fun as long as it is a safe day. Please pay attention to the starter and flaggers. Seat belts must be worn while on the track. Helments are strongly recommended. Passengers are allowed only at the discretion of the Organizers. Passengers must have signed the waiver and must wear seat belts.
There will be separate classes for Advanced and Beginner drivers in the morning sessions. Instruction/coaching will be available for first time track drivers.
Do NOT enter the track until the Starter gives you the “Go” signal.
Your run is over when you receive the checkered flag – you then have 1 “cool off” lap.
If you “spin off” (4 wheels off) the track – return to the track surface only when safe to do so. Stay off the racing line and slowly return to the pits – have your car inspected for safety.
Drive slowly on all other parts and pits Surrounding the track – as there are people walking around.
Aggressive driving will NOT be tolerated – No Passing without proper signal.
Passing Rules:
Passing ONLY allowed on the straights. NO PASSING in corners!
Car being passed must: 1) Signal it wants to be passed 2) slow down 3) passing car must go off racing line to pass
Car wanting to pass must NOT pass unless those 2 conditions are met.
One car will pass per signal – 2nd car will not pass unless there is a 2nd signal.
Itinerary
READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY
Your car must be roadworthy - If you don't think your car will pass a safety inspection don't bring it. You will be a danger others as well as yourself..
We reserve all rights to kick people off the track that are driving dangerously and/or aren't listening to track marshalls.
Remove everything that is loose from your car including stuff in the trunk - i.e.: Golf clubs, stuff in map pockets, empty coffee cups on the floor, loose CD's or tapes, misc. junk - Basically anything that is not bolted to your vehicle ..or bring a bin or box to put this stuff in when you arrive at TMP. Don't forget to check under your seats. When you arrive it would be a good idea to remove your floor mats as well.
Make sure the fluid levels in your car are at the proper level. If you are close to an oil change and have time you might as well do that.
For people that are new at this... inflate your front tires to around 40 psi and the rears about 2psi less (I know the car manual says around 32-34 psi but trust me) .. USE A TIRE GAUGE. The integrated ones on the pumps at the gas station can be off by as much as 5 psi. Somebody will bring up a small compressor but it takes forever to pump up the tires. Make sure the spare tire is inflated as well.
Make sure your wheel nuts are torqued tight.
Clean the inside of your windows - (outside too) better yet wash your car.
Wear flat comfortable shoes with thin soles. Ladies - no heels or clunky soles. Volleyball shoes are actually pretty good. You want to be able to feel your pedals.
Wear comfortable clothes - you will be in your car for several hours and besides there is no fashion at the track.
Fill your tank with gas. You may want to bring an extra tank to fill up while at the track.
The Canteen will be open.
Bring drinking WATER!!!
Guys with VTEC engines - bring at least a litre of engine oil
If you have a small air compressor bring it along
Umbrella in case it rains (pray for sun) and bring a HAT and Sunscreen and/or a jacket if it is cool.
IMPORTANT TIMES !
For those Track people that wish to drive up as a group we will be meeting at Kennedy Commons at (TIME TBA) am and leaving at (TIME TBA) SHARP [/COLOR][/B]- if you are late then you will have to make your way up on your own.
Schedule For The Day
We will have a short briefing prior to getting out on the track, followed by a few warm up laps, then lapping for the rest of the day. "Lapping" refers to just that, doing laps.
The Track will be open from 9am to 5pm rain or shine.
