i wouldnt so much say popular, but they are good cars if your willing to dumps tons of money into repairs on them. Anyone that can't change a transmission on one should never own one.

Not to hi-jack your thread but I do not want a civic but my car would suit your needs perfectly if you know someone that would buy yours. Good luck with yours. It loosk very clean and I LOVE the paint colour. Very good choice on that.
