So I guess the Grand Prix won?
ya if you consider winning to be the only one not ending up in the hospital, and not achieving any tickets, then ya...i guess he's the winner.

If you drive a Miata, you can win on the streets, but you can't win in life.

Further down in the article:
On June 18, two young men were arrested after a truck driver was killed on the 400. Two days earlier along the same stretch of highway, 11 people were injured in a four-car pileup that police say was caused by street

Yeah but that's okay though, my buddy and I were working on this theory that will cut us all loose of this photo radar bullshit. Im so mad that they'd be doing that. Ok, so the best part is that I don't think it's illegal (yet)...
ok are you ready? are you sure??
Man you must be on the edge of your seat...
don't drive like an asshat.
I often wonder.. the other side of things.. NOT these so called racers but the drivers who seem to get hit.. how many are just plain bad drivers who in these cases their idiotic driving puts them in harms way rather then simply they were in the wrong place at the wrong time..
I know it doesn't account for the fact that they were racing. but its still something thats prolly not looked at ever.

I doubt something like that will happen in Ottawa. If it does, then there'll be very few. Aside from that fact, you have nothing to lose if you aren't driving like a bat from hell.

That is why they want to put people who are going in excess of 150km in the street racing department so that when people are charged it looks like tons of people are street racing all the time!
hey does this change the profiling of street racers from 16-25 year old honda drivers to 35 year old mazda and ponitac drivers?
no, just black people.

Photo radar won't keep people from driving like asshats. It will just slow the pace of traffic everywhere.
I for one don't drive like a maniac but I'll admit to doing 120 on the 401. Which is exactly where photo radar becomes a revenue generating device as opposed to a safety device.

If you were doing 120 on the 401 anywhere west of Oshawa you must have been getting run over.
