--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since vic made one for the DSM i'll play too. Was gunna keep it low pro but ive told enough people what im doing so may as well post it here.
tNew Motor coming, consisting of this
Darton Sleeves
CP 8.5:1 Pistons
Pauter Rods
350z valve springs
Redline raised from 6250 to 7000rpm
New Clutch/ Flywheel
Bigger Fuel Pump
Bigger Injectors
AEM FI/C
3 inch from downpipe back
and
Tien SS coilovers
New Tires
Possibly new, larger turbo once new motor is broken in.
Goal for now is around 400whp on my current turbo which should be achievable on 20-22psi. I've been waiting on sleeves that were back ordered for 3+ weeks, hopefull they are in soon. Will post pics once i get everything together.

It won't be rolling with this setup until june or so, depending on how long I have to wait for parts and so on.
In the meantime we'll see how much boost the stock motor can take...

Haaaa. When is that monster back in Ottawa by the way?
Have you thought of attaching SUPER heavy duty rubber band from the front axles to the rear axles on a simple pulley system? Can you say....... limited slip awd?!?!?

Need pics. The more pics the better. Preferably of the car or related parts however facial shots will do as well.

so minor update
installed an electronic boost controller. Car spools wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy faster now and gets into boost much harder. seeing up 5-6% more airflow at the same psi level. win.
also have a new fuel rail and adjustable FPR on the way as i will be converting from a returnless system to a return system. The static fuel pressure is not enough in the high rpm's and im running out of fuel :(
Also should have new tires by the end of the week.
225/45/17 dunlop direzza star specs.
now if these sleeves would get here already...

Sick tires, got the same ones. We can be samesies buddies.
Not that I've actually had a chance to use them at all.

update:
since the sleeves are still on super back ordered i called today and cancelled the order. There are two reasons for this, one being i want to finish this motor sometime this year.... and the second being i dont think there will be a need for sleeves, they were always just for an overkill factor but after reading this thread by a couple guys that are failry knowledgeable with regards to this specific motor, iam cconfident.
heres an excerpt for the nerds:
"The need for sleeves is left over from the days when people were only building Hondas. Non-machinable FRM sleeves, and thin unsupported sleeves, are a honda staple, so you do need to sleeve a Honda for forced induction, high HP or RPM, or simply to replace the pistons in an FRM sleeve, because pistons are manufactured to accommodate expansion of iron sleeves, or lined aluminum sleeves, not FRM (until later).
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/big_j_1979/new%20stuff/qrblock.jpg
Block on the right is a closed deck SR20 motor, one on the left is the spec-v QR25
http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d157/big_j_1979/new%20stuff/block-1.jpg
"it's hard to find a good pic of a sectioned Honda block, but it would be readily evident why people adress the sleeves in a Honda motor.
I realized what was up when I stuck a zip-tie into the water jacket of a D16 block I had sitting next to a QR block....... the Honda sleeve is only supported by maybe 1/2 of an inch of block, and it happens below the bottom of the piston....... that's a lot of leverage to shift a bore........ On a QR you'll notice, the piston actually travels completely below the water jacket.... so at the point where there is max sideloading and rod angle, the sleeve is well supported and not much leverage to dislodge the sleeves enought to cause cylinder sealing problems.."

So im going to go see the boys at lentech next week and have my spare block checked over and cleaned up so i know which size pistons to order etc. Hopefully from this point things will go along smoothly and i can have this done and running before the end of the summer.
