Well I thought I'd make a contribution to the projects section, even though this particular project is nothing to be proud of really (not to mention the car is long gone).
It was my first time doing any extensive bodywork, and my first car that I painted. I did the whole job for about 300 dollars including dupont paint, reducer, bondo, materials, steel etc. I did this job mainly for experience, and in the end I think it turned out pretty well.
In hindsight however, although I loved that little car I will never put that kind of work into a rusty fwd honda again.
___________
This is how it started out, it reminds me of a WWII vehicle or something:

Next, I cut out all the rust on the quarter panels, rockers, etc:

I then took the ebay quarters and welded together the other sections that I had cut out due to rust:

To fab the two sheetmetal parts, I used a vise with two angle iron sections from a bedframe as a bend and break, and banged out the rest with a hammer and dolly. Once finished, I tacked the new steel on and filled any cracks with some waterproof adhesive shit I bought from MPS Metro:

Then, I ground the tacks and filled all the quarter panel seams with Royal Metal:

I also fixed other all the other holes in the car, like this one:

Next came all the bondo, which was a blast:

Once that was done, I fixed any other spots, sanded and masked the car (and yes I sanded the hood and the rest of the car much better and with much finer paper than is obvious in this pic lol)

I then set up a paint booth using home depot vapour barrier. Out came the princess auto paint gun, and I primered and painted car. I used the OEM nightwawk black or w.e it is, it's black with blue metallic

And that was it. I'm sure all the bodywork guys are going to lol at this project - I'm looking at you TroyMp3 - but it turned out alright for the money that was put into it.
The moral of this story is that it was great experience and that I can really appreciate all of the work that goes into quality bodywork at shops.
