im painting a brand new poly urethrene lip and people online say i should use some sort of "flex primer" or adhesion promoter or adhesion primer so that the primer will stick to the lip and not flake off after a while

where to buy locally? just checked canadian tire and they have no idea what im talking about lol
next up will be body shops

^ What are you talking about? He isn't gluing anything.

He said what he needed and the dude didn't know. It's not like autobody guys' go to CT for supplies. The best you can get from CT is bondo and a primer.

Try Benson Auto parts, maybe Princess auto - give them a call.

When I painted my lips and side skirts, I just used a plastic primer. Sanded first, primed, sanded, then colour. It's been 2 years and the paint hasn't flaked or chipped.

C-MAX had a plastic adhesion promoter in stock last year.

Just curious, what kind of paint did you use? I went to part source and they copied the colour via paint code. Turned out nice but you can still tell it's not a 100% match.

I used dupli wheel paint because i found on several forums that it matches my color almost perfectly..

well that was a fail so im going to get a custom spray bomb now.. but the paint itself and clear looked really good.. just a slightly different shade of silver.. owell
