View Full Version : Fix: Late 90's Malibu/Cutlass Blower Fan Bug
Here is something I have been working on for a little while. I will be adding a final section soon which will include details of how the part in question works, and why the old one failed. I appologise for the grainy text - I have some cleaning up to do. But for now here is the first draft. It is my hope that if any of you out there have a similar problem, this might be of some help. Please let me know if there is something I missed, or if you have any suggestions for layout etc. Thanks!
Jim
edit: this point will be added soon, but I should mention this pertains to 97' and on Malibu and Cutlass, until the newer body style. The one pictured is a '98. This might also work with other N body cars such as the Grand Am, and Alero, but I'll have to check in with that.

Fuck Jim I thought you were going to dazzle me with some board repairs, this is just a do-it-yourself blower motor resistor replacement...waste my fuckin time...... we were changing those at surgenor's ten years ago in the driveway of the dealkership. You dont even pull the car into a bay....
Put a disclaimer on this so no one else thinks you are a god and read's too far like I did.......
lol.
carry on
Ouch Todd, tell me how you really feel! :x
Hehe, sorry to get your hopes up. It's just simple replacement stuff, but it might not be as straight forward for everyone. You have a background in this kind of thing, so I can see why it'd be boring for you.
Hey, but I have one I'm working on now about fixing the turn-signal bug. That one's a little more interesting!

lots of late gms have that problem actually. sierras, astros... I've changed quite a few. The replacement version is made differently. It also comes with instructions and schems of what to cut and where to make them fit.
