I just got a TaylorMade R7 Quad Max (.860 C.O.R.) non conforminghead with a Grafalloy ProLaunch Red shaft. I'm not much of a golfer, more of a driver. And I'm not much of a driver either. :laugh::laugh:

I have a Nike SQ5500 with a 9 degree head and a Stiff Aldila VS Proto shaft. It's killer, I love my driver.

Last weekend at Champlain I drove the ball to 112 yards (verified by laser range finder) on a 445 yard par 5. 330 yard drives are few and far between, but I average 280-290 and regularly pound it 300+.

Ya, I'm nowhere close to be considered avid or even good. It's just really fun so I like going out. No smack talk above, pure facts!! Although, I did launch the head of my old club a good 75-100 yards. The ball only went 50 and I was still holding the shaft. That was a fun first swing of the day.

I'm going to try out my new club on Friday most likely. I've never been to Thunderbird. There are driving ranges close to where I live so I don't go far. It's all the same when it's a driving range.

If we go to Thunderbird you can leave your Driver at home. The longest hols is 142 yards.

I hit up the 19th Tee last night and this morning. Was getting some decent hits. The kid that drives around picking up the baskets accused me of stealing balls because I usually put 4 in my back pocket and tee 1 up so I just grab them from my back pocket instead of getting them from the pail or the thing in front of the turf. Kind of ruined the night but he makes minimum wage and I sure don't. So that makes me feel better. Oh well, 19th FTW for me.

Hey I just started golfing last year (im pretty awful), but im beginning to love the sport. Anyways, there is a course in Carleton Place off Scotch Corners Road (off highway 7), and i forget the name but its easy to find.

My point being, its challenging and every hole very different, its cheap (family run) and never packed. Suggest some of you guys check it out if your ever sick of the same old fareways and dont mind a 25 minute drive

Man, I wish I had read this before I played. Are the greens ever deceiving!!! They all look slow but they're fast as shit. After the first few holes I was afraid to hit it and left them all short.

If there's no one on the course I blaze through like it's a race. Manderley on the weekend will be slow, though. 4.5 hours for sure.

Got a membership for 633.98 tax included (age 24-36) for a 18 hole golf course for rest of season and 2011 it's a hour from ottawa though,I will have some free passes for 2011 some of you will have to come out for some free golf.
