View Full Version : Napierville Super Street Power Adder this weekend.
in case anyone is interested in a new race series a friend of mine is starting this weekend, Saturday the 3rd of july, in Napierville. Its a class for true streetcars, strongly favored for 4 cylinder cars, but everyone is invited, there are only some basic rules,
Street car, no frame work, V8 on 17" inch tires and up and injection, 9 sec cars have to be NHRA compliant.
Must have most of the interior, and be street worthy, , slicks are allowed on anything but V8 cars have to run a 17" wheel and up.

So because I have 18" wheels I can't go?
No, you must have wheels no smaller than 17inches, so 17 and up is good.

Why can't V8's have slicks, and others can?
I guess the smaller engined cars don't realy want to get schooled by cars with real engines and real ET's.
Mostly because in montreal, there are plenty of low 9 second "streetcars" that can walk away with the class, we know we are at a disadvantage, and we are hoping to keep people interested instead of discouraged that they dont stand a chance... The 17 inch tire rule kinda brings the ballance back, regardless its a trail and error thing, if it doesnt work out it will be changed.
And btw.... Anytime;) lol

Things can be arranged ;)

So in the end the faster car wins right?
Maybe if you guys are so keen on "streetcars" you should just ban all slicks, and say people who run DOT slicks can only rum them. But then again its your own show, your own rules, good luck.
