Hey i got this d15b for free it broke a timing belt and hit the valves,i want too re-place the valves with i have at home and shave the head and block as much as i can to make a high compression engine. Ill clay the engine as i go.

Does anybody see any problemes that i will have before i start.O and its just for my winter beater and my brother works in a machine shop so its just going to cost me the gaskets.

Go for it. You can take quite a bit off on the d series (not familiar with the d15b though). Just make sure you engage the Vtec rocker when you clay.

You might be able to take .040"+ off (good for a full point or more).

Sure you want to run premium in your beater though?

The general rule is about 4% per compression point.

2 points would (?) be the most depending on the valve/head clearances.
