Well then i guess the ion isnt stock then either. and Ion redlines run 15.2 stock. with that shotty long geared tranny and 6450 redline. they would be quite the fun car with a proper geared tranny higher redline. the supercharger can continue making power for another
600 - 800 rpm.

Funny my bone stock Redline ran 14.2 @ 97 mph many times in a row at Luskville. I have pictures showing the car being 100% stock. With just a stage 2 in a day with horrible traction the car ran 13.9 @ 103mph a few times.

strongly doubt that, those motors and trannies are pretty stout for stock, theres some 450whp SRT's out there daily drivin' it on stock OEM parts.

if you get 500,000K out of your SPEC-V, ill buy you another one.

With the way most ppl drive those, most will be lucky to see 250k. JMO.

ya the srt drivetrains are pretty beefy from factory and can handle a sufficient amout of power and upgrades...and seein how 90% of the srt owners RAPE them i am not suprised that you dont hear of more breakdowns...jus goes to show that they are pretty stout.

To throw out some # on a stage 1 ecue and just an after market WGA with exhaust on street tires I ran a 13.5 @ 106mph.

With slicks I ran a 13.3@ 103.1mph.

Those SRT-4 have strong motors and transmissions dispite what anyone says. Yes it looks like a Neon. But it is fast, if you can get it off the line.

It is a highway racer. I got tired of high hp and traction issues so I ditched the bitch now I have a real car.

its pretty fast. chatted with the guy for a bit, he told me he did the paint job with a roller for 150$. its very clean up close too, pinstriping between the two colours.

Spec V's are Sentra's

No one can proclame that they are better than the other.

Fact is, the QR25 is the worst underachieving engine ever put in a Nissan ''sports'' car, I use the term sport very loosely here.

Fact #2, the 2.4l from the Neon SRT4 seem to be a stout engine, even SCC, who hates there little orange Neon say that its been the most reliable car in there project fleet (including the Zed and the two Scooby).Anyone reading SCC can vouch that they beat on they're little Neon pretty bad.

Damn, they even made it handle, if it was up to me, I'd pick a SRT4 over a SPEC V anyday... and I'm an import kinda guy.
