View Full Version : How to remove a Ford Focus Radio?

A friend loaned me his Focus. Blower fan isn't working so I'm going to replace the switch. I think the only way to get to it is to pull the radio out. Anyone in the stereo industry got insight into how you'd remove the factory radio? I assume it needs some special tool.

chainsaw and hammer....honestly though cut a hanger in two and fold it to fit into holes on radio then push in and pull deck out

It's a 2000 model. I will try a bent over TIG rod.

Exactly how I removed my stereo in my 2000 mustang. Unless you wanna buy the official Ford stereo removal tool...

I had a similar issue with my newly-bought del SOL. I took it to FUTURE SHOP, went around to the back & asked the techs there if they'd remove my Pioneer receiver for me. Special tools & out in a instant!
