Anyone use this stuff?

Does it really work like the video shows? If so, how long does it last?

Any wax can pretty much do that with a brand new wheel. Now subject that wheel to 4 weeks of driving, heat, and all, I don't think you'll get the same results.

Ok, but maybe there are some special chemicals that make it special.

I am looking for real world results. Not opinions.

I use Poorboy's World Wheel Sealant (http://www.poorboysworld.com/wheel-sealant.htm). I also hear good reviews about Wheel Wax (http://www.wheelwax.ca/products/10001.html)

They work well, but the shit in the video is just hype.

Hype?

You haven't even tried it. How can you possibly say that? :dunno:

I call it hype because it's not a real world example, put the stuff on 1/2 a wheel on the car, drive it through a muddy puddle, drive for a day in the rain, take it to a track day and allow 5 days of brake dust to accumulate. Then rinse the wheel off and then demonstrate the results. Otherwise it's just like watching an infomercial with Mr. Slapschop.

I use it, easy to apply, works great, but yes, regular waxing of your wheels will accomplish the same thing. Hence why I run out this stuff, I use collonite wax....

Yeah but its more work to wax a set of wheels.

I am gonna buy this stuff and report back with real world results.

lol - I gave you real world results.

In all fairness, 99% of drivers dont take their car on the track. This isn't a real world example.

I agree with you tho, this stuff doesn't take track day abuse. I still need to apply a lot of wheel cleaner to my rims after a track day to get them cleaned up properly.

I never use wheel cleaner on my nitro wheels tho - because I use this stuff (or Wax). My nitro has obviously never seen a track day. All I need is soap, water and a good wash mit to clean them up. Saves a lot of time. I apply the stuff (or wax) my wheels every 3rd or 4th wash.

There are a whole lot of people here that drive their cars on the streets nearly as hard as I do on the track ;)

lol, doubt that. if so - you're doing something wrong at the track.

all that to say; for the average joe, this is a great product.

i bought this stuff to try it out. it does work to an extent. i find when i wax a wheel, it still collects dust from driving, and when sprayed with the armorall, i does repel alot of it. the commercial probably used 4 cans on that one rim though

I'm about to mount up my winter wheels on the BMW. I'm going to do a real world experiment between "Wheel Wax" and "Poorboy's Wheel Sealant".

I got some last week and sprayed my wheels.

Now I need to wait for them to get dirty. lol

I wonder if rainX would work the same.

Armorall likes to put silicone oil on everything.

It's just like a clear coat of paint. Not like silicone at all.
