No MSRP yet. They do take a deposit to get you a spot.
They were supposed to be here by october '07, but now it got pushed back to spring '08.

It ain't that special, the market will be flooded with them when they come out. It will be like the new civic with a lease or loan payment of $900 a month. :D

Don't know about you, but I'd take an Evo over a Suby any day. Not saying the Suby is a bad car, but the Evo is far more appealing.
ya i would take an evo > sti just because of the handling really.

Ever driven one to say anything like this?
Both of them handle damn good. When you get to their limits, they handle differently, some drivers will be faster in a EVO, some will be in a STi...
Pete
Who has driven both(EVO in the US), wish he had more seat time cuz it was a TONS of fun.

They are pretty far close as far as handling goes. I doubt that an amateur driver would be able to push them to the limit to be able to tell the overall handling difference.

When we were at the x-games (california) last year for the rally portion, one of our mitsu sponsors lent us (team) a evo9 for the week..... Our rally driver had it the most but we (crew) drove it once in a while....
compared to my impreza.... what I loved, was the streering (quick response) and the brakes.... handling was comparable..... subaru is a bit softer... but nothing a set of coilovers will fix.....

From the performance side of the house the car in the older body is kick ass. As far as asthetics go it looks like a cheap plastic north american car interior. To me not really worth the money to sit and stare at that. I would really have to see the new interior up close in person to give a really good opinion. But you can bet they will rape you at the dealer when those come out. And all the kids will be looking for Daddy or Mommy to co-sign for one.
I hope their price is a couple G's lower than the STI so as to make good competition with Subaru so we can start seeing some incentives to buy either of those cars and not get screwed for the guy that wants to just lease or finance through the dealer.
