Looking to get my Hood Re-cleared, currently it is fading and the clean has 2 cracks in it. Id Like to get it done somewhere that has experience with CF and Isn't habbibi certified for $40 bucks.

Why is it any different than any other clear coat?

i'm assuming if you reclear a cracked cb hood, the clear is gonna crack in the same spot within a couple of weeks.

It's not clear coat, it's a gel coat. And if it's cracked, good luck trying to get it fixed at a price where it's cheaper than buying a new one. You may want to check out a boat hull repair place and see if they have any clear gel coatings available (usually they're primered).
I went through 2 hoods on my old Prelude because of that. I love CF, but the gelcoat is what drives me up the wall when it cracks. Spraying clear coat over it won't do shit and will actually make the crack worse once it splits again, and it will.

I expect that any boat place will quote big for the job. There is no real margin built into car bodywork. With boats it seems to be very common that you need a SS fitting for your railing and they say "yes sir $121.99" no problem sir here is my visa card.
I would suggest beacon because I saw some really nice looking CF work from them in the past but I don't know if they're still around.
