Base turbo kits and base supercharger kits wind up being about the same price.

I've had a JR Supercharger put in my civic a year and a half ago, and had no problems with it. I'm using a 10lb pulley, and even with conservative tuning it adds 50hp. Cost me around 3-4k with hondata and tuning but its worth it. Love the sound of it. I don't know much about turbos, but I'd recommend the JR because it's low maintenance and adds quite a bit of power.
