need ac system fixed. where?

Looking for a place in nepean that you guys can recommend on servicing the ac system in my gf's 1998 honda civic lx.

There's a really good and honest place towards Carp named "Vance's Garage" on March Road. My dad has his old truck serviced there for A/C today and was really happy with the price/service. Mom/Pop type garage.

not that far for good service. what did your dad have done? i think it needs a top up since the system turns on and cycles and it has pressure just not sure if it has enough freon.

I think they charge around $100 to check your whole system for leaks, and if nothing's wrong they'll top up. He said that buying those top-up kits are risky because you never know what's in them, and if you've used one he won't even hook your system up to his machine in case..

Turned out to be his huge rad fan was fucked, thus overheating the compressor, so a Rad fan, compressor, fill, and top up..

Was all done within a couple of hours... your case will probably be less serious... Just give him a call beforehand and he'll tell you whats up...

Parts source has the Diagnose/find leak/refill kit for 80$. Give it a shot.

i used the kit on the jeep and it worked fine but i tried on teh civic and it wont allow the freon to go into the system
