Longshot event, this is mothers day, but we lap in the evening!

For you guys married to moms, I don't expect to see you. For the rest of us, you can spend the whole day with your mom, the whole day! Lunch, Brunch, golfing, needle point, nascar on tv!... the list in endless.

Anyway, this is a longshot, we need 20 cars. If you want to get your season started right away this is the event for you.

Bring your mom to the race track! I probably will.

MidnightRuns.com Lapping Rules and Regulations

Driver Meeting is mandatory, miss the meeting and you will miss the event with no refund.

Helmets are required for drivers and passengers. Limit one passenger per vehicle. Cars with removable tops are allowed.

Cars with removable tops REQUIRE a rollbar.

Lapping and Driver Behavior
These events are all about having fun with our cars, please respect the other drivers and your car, and we will all have a good time and make it home safely. There are usually several experienced drivers who are more than happy to ride along with you providing advice about the track. Be sure to ask if it's your first time. We recommend not lapping for longer than 15-20min, by then the brakes are hot and so is the driver; this is when mistakes can happen.

Remove loose items from the car, floor mats, trunk junk and anything else that can move.

It is not safe to follow a car closely. If they make a mistake, they will take you with them. Make some space between you and the other cars.

If a smaller lighter car with race tires has caught your 400+hp street beast in the corners, let them by on the straight, they will only catch you again in the next corner.

This is open lapping, not racing. Aggressive driving will be monitored and anyone not respecting the track or other drivers will be black flagged and or expelled with no refund.

If you go off track, 2 wheels or more, come into the pits. Take a break and examine your car for any damage. Little advice, if you are going off the track at Shannonville, bring the car to a controlled stop in a straight line before attempting to bring the car back onto the track. The runoffs are large and flat; however some have hard ruts and could cause unwanted damage.

Passing
Passing is only allowed in designated areas, generally the straights. The car being passed initiates the pass with a clear signal (turn signals or "point-by" signal can be used) indicating which side the passing car can overtake â??only one car at a time.

Do not pass until you have a clear signal from the slow car.

Check your mirrors often. You never know how long someone has been waiting to pass you. The slow car keeps the racing line. The faster car finds the way around. Slower car should slow down to allow the ease of the pass, this is not a race, respect the other drivers. Failure to follow the passing rules will result in a black flag and or expelled from the event with no refund.

Cool down lap
It is highly recommended to take a cool down lap, fast enough to not use the brakes. Raise your hand outside the window, or signal with "4-way flashers" indicating you are taking a cool down lap. Failure to do so could result in cracked brake rotors.

Damage
You are responsible for any damage to the Shannonville Motorsports Park facilities. This is regardless of how the damages occur. If they bill us we will bill you.
