Ok here I go... hello Redliners, first post so I'm gonna make it a good one. I have just picked up a certain car about a month ago and wanted to share it with a lil slice of all the sweet cars that have come up here.
Oh and any one who has one of these beasts input and tips greatly welcome :)

Ok when a friend of mine told me he knew some one who tried (and kinda fell short) of a corolla project i was ready to sink my teeth into it. So i got time to go look at said car ... this is what i saw

Now i just finished looking at one of the worlds saddest 240sx and i walked away from it, and i probably should of done the same but this was one sad car. I actually heard it weep as i looked at it (weird i know?!)
well 600$ cash and a tow and I was off to the races to turn this baby around.

will update with the cleaned up body pics and the complete rebuild of the 4age. maybe if I'm feeling a bit crazy maybe some pics of the engine installation :)

Here are the real major changes I've made. so as has been seen previously the motor had been taken out but not touched for over 9 months and has just been sitting.

These are the sad 220,000 km pistons. but before i pulled it apart i did a moto stat/ leak down test. Only cylinder 3 had low sealing and it was out the exhaust valve.

So the shop i went with was recommended to me from a good friend of mine at work. he's had much work done and was supper impressed. So i took a shot and was not let down. The guys at lentech automotive did a sweet job. im still not really sure why you didnt swap this thing. i had one of these gts' back in the day and it was slow as balls.

They are slow as balls. Tranny is weak, diff is weak, brakes are weak, wiring is absolutly fucking horiffic, axels are weak, rear brakes never work right, alternator sucks and headlight motors tend to jam..

PS: Its a corolla, stop calling it by its chassis code. IF you need a big break kit let me know, I want to get rid of mine. I will also have some classic ROHs for sale in 15x7 0 offset.
