I would listen to soundclips from Flowmaster, (Non straight through design) Magnaflow (Straight through, but deeper tone) or Dynomax Superturbo (cheap$ but doesnt last long with otttawa salt)
Im starting to look more at the flowmasters for the sport compacts, as there are not legality issues with the muffler design, Magnaflow I consider one of the best in the business, but it is straight through, and that can classify you as a "Hollywood style muffler" according to the HTA.
What year Teg?

I can build you something but most exhausts come from the cat back. You can pick any universal muffler and I will install it.

Magnaflow complete catback is $498.00 (2.25"), Flowmaster axle back is $260.00(2" I believe).
You might be better off to buy just a muffler and get it installed if you need 2.5" sizing though.
