k so ive been building me a reliable winter beater.. its a 92 4 door civic lx.

it used to be automatic, i since did a manual conversion, installed a jdm d15b, with si trans. (v-tec isnt hooked up, since i used a non vtec wiring harness. it also has a european domino computer for the d15b vtec.

now i get in and put the key in the on position and all my accessories work. except when i go to roll the engine over, nothing happens, not even a click.

am i missing something? im thinking because my car was an auto it needs to see park or neutral to start (not computer related, maybe it is, ihave no idea).. or my computer is no good.. but i ruled that out, because my car should turn over anyways.

other than checking for 12v at the starter, what should i look for? im hoping someone who is familiar witha auto to manual conversion swap, would know my problem

There should be a clutch switch... probably somehow wired into the original park switch...

You either need to wire a switch up, or complete the cicuit. Sorry I can't be speific here, I'm not sure exactly what to look for...

On my focus, the crankshaft position sensor is different from an auto to manual. I found out the hard way when I replaced the engine.

No turning whatsoever, no fuel, nothing and it was because the sensor was 1/2 a cm shorter than the manual one. Changed that sensor to the one that was in my blown engine and she fired right up.

oh and my CPS was INSIDE the tranny...thats right, had to remove my tranny AGAIN, undo 2 bolts and put in the new sensor. PITA

this dosnt apply to honda in any way...

yes, you have to jump two wires together to put the car in park (duh). just solder them together so the car is 'electronically' in park or neutral. also you should consider wiring up a clutch relay for safety.

didnt you mention you were a mechanic?

lol it was 11 at night when i went to turn the key... lol i was tired last night..

so i came online today on my break, asking for a few brainstorming ideas

plus if someone else has done it before, it would save me a lot of time, if so and so told me what i was missing

Didn't d15b's come with LSD tranny's? Why the Si gearbox?

i got the engine with no trans.

also i was unaware that they came with LSD..

another thing i noticed.. all d15b's from importers are offered without the trans

frig i wish i would have known, a lsd trans would have been nice

sounds like the ignition signal wire maybe?

sounds like the ignition signal wire maybe?

Nope, that's in the distributor.

99% it's the clutch switch/park switch. It's something to do with your auto/manual swap, or you forgot to hook you starter signal wire up.

Also, PM'd about the engine.
