painting chrome... ?

Just picked up a new Lexus is250 and i want to paint the chrome around my grille black to match the car. Is there a special procedure to do this or type of paint i must use?

need to peel off/sand the chrome all the way down to plastic for paint promoter and paint to adhere.

btw, this grille is bolted by 4 screws from the back, so you need to have small hands or remove the bumper to prepoerly remove the grille.

Plasti-dip it. Otherwise more work than its worth.

platidip is matte. i think he wants it colormatch.

another option is to bring the grille to rld. they will PTM to any color and bake it

ya, when you sign up on clublexus, you get discounts at sewell lexus in texas. i got all my oem parts there, they dont sell the lip kit at the dealership here
