Rattling noise on my Honda

94 civic, b16 engine. At 3k and 4k rpms getting really loud tinging/rattling sound. Same sound that the heat shield makes when it's loose and rattling off of exhaust. Anyways.. i assumed it was the heat shield, pulled it off but noise is still there. I can't see anything loose underneath and it does seem to be coming from tranny... bad news huh?

yeha probably another heatshield underneat.. it might look like it clears the exhaust line, but with the flow coming out @ 3000 rpm, it makes the plate vibrate and sound like a 4x vtec powerband from outer space

yeah it was the head shield above the cat..purring like a kitten now.
