http://www.armorall.com/products/view_p ... ndex=wipes (http://www.armorall.com/products/view_product.php?product_id=1&main_group=1&category_index=wipes)

I just bought a sleeve of these (note I bought the "cleaning" wipes, not the "protectant" wipes)

Does anyone have any opinions on these? I read on some mazda forums to stay away from Armor All, but I think they mean the spray / protectant.

I personally think their wipes and tire shine products are great. Like you mentioned, I've heard too many negative things about their other detailing products.

I prefer the Meguiar's wipes (Gold Class Protectant Wipes) and their Quik Interior Detailer wipes/spray... both are excellent solutions when time is short and you need to clean the car up.

Not a fan of armor all at all... their stuff is usually cheap and leaves either a greasy look or greasy residue, etc. :?

The thing is that armor all has alcohol in it, which means it looks good for the first little bit, but you have to keep putting it on. Mother and Meguiares are better, and give a longer lasting protection.

I've even heard that armor all contains something, might be alcohol/amonia, I have no clue, don't recall, that overtime will cause your dash to dry out and eventually start cracking

again, word of mouth, could be BS, but I use meguira's with no issue...I dont like the dash too shiny

I didn't buy the shiny armour all, just the cleaning wipes, they don't make the dash shiny at all. I just want to make sure I am not damaging my dash, but there doesn't seem to be any solid facts about this.

you're totally right there's no solid facts, but keep in mind that solid facts for something like that are often hard to come by, esp since something like this takes time, and can't be pinpointed usually...but trending works

check that, the armor all section especially...

I mean your car, your dash, just giving you a heads up

I guess it is better to be safe than sorry. I only used 2 wipes on the dash etc. I used a damp cloth to clean it off afterwards, think that is enough?

I think I am just going to use a microfibre cloth to remove dust, and just a wet rag when it gets dirty.

Or I may pick up those meguiars wipes as well (where can I buy those locally?)

I've always heard the same thing... I know none of the detailing shops back home use Armor All products... I've seen many sets of tires that their sidewalls are all cracked and they turn brown over time due to an apparent religious use of Armor All on them...

I gotta pimp the california mini-duster right now. I bought myself one because swiffer dusters were getting expensive. This thing is AMAZING. if grabs ALL dust off the dash, so you are then free to clean it with a damp MF cloth, followed by some Meguiar's QD. I personally HATE a shiney dash, so after the QD I always buff it to a semi-gloss.

The duster is just so awesome, cuz you can literally hit your entire dash while you're at a red light. there's never dust on my dash. NEVER.

I mean I wouldn't worry about it if you're using a sleeve...I think it's long time use that will hurt ya mostly

when I clean my dash, I go over it with a wet rag first to get rid of the dust, if I get coffee on there, I use sunlight...works wonder, then I go over it with the protectant

I'd presume canadian tire would have the meguira's one if any, I havent seen the meguira's wipes, but I haven't been looking, I usually clean the car once a week so it's clean 90% of the time

The sleeve is going into the garbage tonight. I'll try and pick up the meguiars stuff at CT, and a microfibre cloth for daily use.

So I ended up buying the California Mini Duster, and ditching the stupid wipes.
The Duster thing is hardcore, it works super well!

But guys Unique uses armor all, it must be good stuff :)

I think I'm going to stop using it and switch to something else. Too slick and wears off fast.
