JUST SICK. I WANT A TOY LIKE THAT

you'll never be popular, or successful.

Wow, what a monster of a car!

That guy/gal is a hell of a driver - the figure 8 he was doing around the transport truck parkinglot or whatever that was - very impressive! I'm not sure if this is the right name, but that transition from left to right when he uses the car like a pendulum - that's some massive control.

Very cool vid! Do any of you know about Volvo engines? what engine is that?

i never understood this stupid fascination behind fucking burnouts.

i hate burnouts.. but i like when someone smoke tires while drifting or doing some touge runs, circuit runs etc.. aslong as the burnout is for more than... doing a burnout!

b23rt, manimal mitch told me everything he knows about these works of art.

16 valve dohc 2.3l turbo engine with bigger injejctors turbo sleeved, forged pistons and rods. with the bigger upgraded turbo. the rear eaton diffs are great in these cars. so i hear anyway, ill get back too my dreaming, until then im working my ass off. i have work in three hours.

sleep apnia for the win.

The dude has 2 sets of injectors (total of 8 ). Im not quite sure about the dif but back in the 80s volvo had an option of an LSD. You can still find them in the old 240 turbos and they are a direct bolt on to any latter year rwd volvos with the no independent suspension.

Your right about the engine but those 16valve heads are problematic, id rather go for an 8 valve head, way tougher

I agree.

Unless there is a purpose. Like heating up the rubber for better traction before a run.

Block is most likely a B23 volvo engine, 1980's to 1994-5. probably turbo. it could very well be a B234 (16 valve) block, but the blocks for the 16 valves were problematic at best - and not good for boosting. I'm willing to bet he has alcohol or water injection, running a second set of injectors as someone pointed out. engine management is probably megasquirt. the diffs are dana 30s or 31's depending on the fins - they're not bad, but they ain't the best out there. turning them into LSD isn't tough if you have the cash.

Also, like someone else said, the 8 valve heads are reliable - but so are the 16 valves. the 16 valve head will, however, flow better with less work than a highly worked 8 valve head - but there is a rather rare casting of the 8 valve head - the 531 - that is excellent for high output engine with the right work done for it. these are rather hard to come by, with most heads being 530s.

edit: watching the video for the god-knows-how-manieth time, it appears that is in fact a boosted 16 valve head AND block - I believe so because the alternators on the B234Fs are at the top, easy to access, unlike the standard B23s which are located at the bottom near the crank pulley.
