View Full Version : 95 jeep cherokee not starting again!
soo ive asked a few questions about this jeep on here and have got some great replies. so jeep was runing and started great one day, left in my shop over the night and went to start it the next day and just wouldnt start. getting plenty of fuel, just absolutely no spark on any of the cylinders. ive changed the spark plugs, cap and rotor, and coil and stil no start. im thinking its the crank sensor, but not entirely sure. just wondering what everone though. can you check the crank sensor?or do i just have to replace it?

well when you buy a 95 jeep grand cherokee for $240 with not that much wrong with it its worth it. ill stil be laughin even if i have to spend a grand
Isn't it about a grand a week in gas? Check that the crank sensor is correctly gapped off of the flywheel. It's pretty common for those sensors to go on the 4.0L.
ya, well im going to get a spare one tomorrow for free, so im just going to throw that in and see how it goes

Isn't there an external ignitor on those, I can't remember off hand but I seem to remember a little assembly bolted to the fender on my old Jeep.
