So we stripped and cleaned up the frame and sent it off to get blasted, primed and painted... Here's a couple pic's of the process. You can see in the picture of the original frame brackets for a scatter shield, tow hooks, and kind of how fuked the rear suspension was... It's all fixed up, good as new :D

Since the last update was on the old forum i can't reference it so here's a couple reminders...

When we brought it home;

Parts of the frame were covered in a think tar undercoating... It was almost impossible to scrap off, in this pic you can see it on the rear end.

Tonight we did some work on the frame, ran some brake linesinstalled a couple bracktes and the shocks. The pig is out as the ring and pinions were in rough shape and need ot be replaced.

We have a couple of the same vices at work and I've never seen one snap like that. You guys must have a Hercules working with you.

And good work on the frame :)

Keep posting pics as it goes along, I likes to look :D.

It wasn't cheap and that's probably more than anyone needs to know.

Fantastic job on the Vette. It's good to know there's still people out there willing to go to all the work, fixing these classics up. You will have to let us know when and where it will be shown.

Hey, whats the balance in your bank account?

How much did you pay for your 87 civic?

Whats your annual income?

Please answer those questions ASAP.

I didn't mean to come off sharp in that response I was just trying to point you in the direction of minding your manners.

It's called common courtesy. It's not polite to ask and it has no value on your perception of this project now does it?

kingpin; It hasn't cost meee anything but time :P I know roughly what my old man has in it so far and you could probably pick-up a shiny new Civic for it.

no problem dude. To give you an idea th '56 when said and done was about $40,000 for the car then about $45,000 in parts/labour. This one cost $22,000 and subsequently the parts/labour cost will be higher.
