Those are pretty trick, smart idea. I'll do some digging, but dont recall seeing them from ARP etc.
I could cut down some threaded rod (grade 8) and cut a slot at the one end.
Let ya know if I find something.

do you think threaded rod would hold up to the beating
what grade of steel is it usually

I can get threaded rod in grade 8, same as a morosso race stud for example, but for the price there showing, it would be cheaper to buy them IMO, unless you do the work yourself (you can, chopsaw and hacksaw would work, small mill would be best of course)
I would guess a 3ft threaded rod would be around $40-60.00 range from valley hardware (metric,grade8).
Maybe cheaper to get proper bolts, and cut the head's off?
