i need some head work done on the pony. the heads i have are the OEM PI off a 2001 block and same intake manifold. im looking to get a cam installed, small port and clean up done on them and possibly a port match on the manifold. problem is the manifold is plastic! ive looked into the aftermarkets and there going for 1200$ i plan on supercharging it in the next 2 years so the intake wont be needed after then.

anyone know of any good reliable shops that do machine work and possibly have a dyno or do tuning? ive heard many good things about lentech so im thinking them but any helps appreciated!
thanks
mike

In general you don't really want to "port match" the intake manifold as those "steps" you see are there on purpose - they are anti-reversion steps. I've seen people port match these and end up losing ponies. I've never ported a set of mod heads and unfortunately I don't have the fixtures to put them on my flow bench. Could probably still give them a good working over. In december I spent a fair amount of time talking to one of the Ford engineers about all the technology they've been putting into their cylinder heads. Hell some of the 4 valve heads flow almost as much as an import of 10 years ago :P

I don't doubt that for a second. Not even a second.
