im thinking of getting the skunk2 cams pro stage 3 .. will it make a difference if i purchase the pro series valves springs as well ......and will it make a difference on the b16a g2, because im hopeing to go n/a and trying to get most out of my engine at the same time im thinking of just going boost ....im just scared of runnign in to problem with boost.... and everyone soo friggin expensive for basic boos set up...
It would have been a good idea to put different pistons in if you were thinking of boost. I imagine the type-r pistons wouldn't be that great for boosting.
The pro stage 3 cams are basically a race cam. this means you'd better have an engine built to rev past 9 grand plus high compression pistons, fully built valvetrain and head work. If you just throw them in a stock engine you'll make less in the power department than just a stage 1 cam from them. If you want to go for boost then buy turbo cams - they still make a difference NA. Also FYI a high power NA engine will be less reliable, less powerful and more expensive than a low boost turbo engine.

ya that what i was thinking of too im likely gonna go boost, i got my engine to stock pistons and it running with only type r cams, that it for internal mods... but i was wondering for just a basic setup for boost say 6 to 9 psi what recomanded for my engine and what safe to do, so i can run it as a daily driver in summer.....and keep in mind i have like a loww budget because of school .......so i would buy parts slowly then get it done,,,, mostly i need a list ...
How many times have you changed parts in that block?
